Private Music Lessons

Serving the Capital District and surrounding communities (Albany, Schnectady, Troy, Saratoga, etc.), I offer on-site music lessons in the privacy of your own home. Yes on-site and in your home. Since most students practice music at their home anyway, this makes them more comfortable and is easier on the student.

The truth of the matter is private music lessons or instruction enable students of ALL levels faster growth and development of their musicianship. While private lessons are not a substitute for regular practice, they do strongly supplement personal growth and ensures the student is making proper progress.

If you are just starting out - I can help students learn about music theory, understanding rhythm, how to read and write music, etc. I can help students learn rhythm, melody, and harmony - so they can apply these areas towards their music goals.

I can teach students ear training, how to learn music from recorded music, as well as listening and performance exercises. As an additional service, I can bring some portable recording equipment and I can make a "professional-level" demo recording.

Since I am a musician that plays multiple instruments, I can teach you to play just about anything. I can teach you to play such instruments as guitar, violin, drums, piano (keyboards) and my personal favorite - trumpet.

I do not provide canned lesson packages. Instead all my lessons are customized based on that students short and long term needs and goals. For example, some students only want to learn a few aspects of music - and are not looking to become a professional musician. Therefore, I create a unique lesson program to help them acheive those specific set of music goals.

For those students with experience, I can provide service to help you learn arranging, composition, production, as well as performing the role of a sound engineer.
